The Huntsville Skating Club will host a figure skating competition from October 2 – 4, 2026, at the Huntsville Summit Centre. We take pride in hosting excellent events and this one is shaping up to be fantastic.
We’re looking for adult and high school-aged volunteers to fill the following roles:
Ice Captain: Supervise the entering and exiting of skaters from the ice pad.
Skater Registration: Registration and first point of contact for competing skaters.
Admissions: Collect admission fees from each spectator attending the event.
Hospitality: Assist with setting up food and drink for the event Officials.
Music: Play skater music using a computer program and downloaded music files
Announcements: Using a script, announce skaters and their scores. Time warm ups.
Security: Ensure only skaters and coaches have access to designated areas.
Registration runner: Under direction of the registration coordinator, deliver the skater planned program sheets to the Officials prior to the start of an event category.
